PuMP provides high definition live sound systems, intelligent lighting rigs and staging to events and venues principally in South-West England, but ultimately to the South Coast and beyond. We specialise in delivering the highest quality audio to events and musicians that demand it. We also have the capacity, capability and experience to run multiple stages/venues simultaneously.

BACKGROUND - We set-up PuMP in 2003 (originally as the Purbeck Music Partnership) specifically to provide the highest quality live sound in a variety of venues - open-air stages, event marquees, clubs and theatres. At the time, and unfortunately it is still true today, most live sound, especially at greater volumes, is a full-spectrum frequency assault with some overbearing high and low end topped up with plenty of white-noise - falling a long way short of the precision and clarity required or expected by top-flight performers and indeed, their audiences. By combining the best quality equipment with extensive live and studio engineering experience we are now extremely proud of our reputation for providing the highest possible quality live sound - indeed a number of the UK's top jazz musicians have publicly stated that our live sound is the "best live sound they've ever had" - and, yes, we have testimonials to that effect!

In 2005 we added lighting to our set-up to provide a more complete package to our festival and event clients. Our original lighting base has been augmented with the addition of multiple Martin MAC575 and MAC250 moving heads giving us greater flexibility - washes, moods and accents to jazz, classical and folk events for example, or full-blown, beat-linked, programmed light shows.

For 2010 we are looking to increase the overall size of our live sound capabilities, expand our lighting rig further and add large event structures to our portfolio - allowing us to provide complete packages to event and festival organisers/promoters.
